"Join the orb mosh pit"

Films: Strange Invaders (1983)

Alias: Various

Type: Alien

Location: Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of average humans.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: The great social experiment begins! And who would of thought, it was initiated by aliens. Of course.

History: For years, the town of Centerville, Illinois has looked like it hasn't moved on from the 50s at all. The truth is that it's been colonized by aliens in disguise. These beings hope to study humanity and take their knowledge back to their home world and decide whether the place is ripe for the taking or not. For those they impersonate, the poor humans are forced into crystalized floating orbs of pure energy, waiting to be taken to space.

Notable Kills: None.

Final Fate: The plan to take all of Centerville with them is foiled, mainly due to the rescue of a half-alien girl. The orbs turn back into their original forms, safe and sound.

Powers/Abilities: Can violently turn others into crystal energy orbs, and assume their form like a mask.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-At least unlike most body snatchers, you remain alive, albeit you can't really do much until the day is saved. Still, the scene where the aliens take off their disguises is pretty damn unsettling.

Trivia: -This was the second film in a proposed trilogy of spoof movies, the first being 1981's "Strange Behavior". Due to this film's financial failure, a third never came to be.

-One of the other choices for a lead aside from Paul le Mat was Mel Gibson. It wouldn't be the first time he's been thrown into the making of a stupid alien movie...

Simple. The universe hates us.

Still not erecting that wall around Earth. Not ever.

Are the blind martians here?

"GRRRGH! I knew these disguises were more trouble than good! Can't even take them off right!"
May want to get your skin checked for holes.
